Hocking Hills State Park


Although Hocking Hills State Park closes at dusk, it is open 365 days of the year. A year-around park naturalist provides nature programs including Ohio Birds of Prey programs and hikes through Old Man's Cave. Hocking Hills State Park is made up of six major hiking regions:

Old Man's Cave - Enormous recess cave with excellent hiking trail access and unique bridges.

Ash Cave - Recess Cave with trail lined in stately hemlocks.

Cedar Falls - Rugged cliff edges and beautiful waterfalls.

Conkle's Hollow - Rock formations and waterfalls.

                                                                   Cantwell Cliffs - Rugged cliffs and beautiful views.

                                                                   Rock House - Craggy forested trail with unique cave.

Unique rock formations,  recess caves and rugged cliff edges make Hocking Hills State Park one of Ohio's most renowned natural areas. There are six major sections of the park including Ash Cave, Old Man's Cave and Cedar Falls and many of the nearly 25 miles of trails feature breathtaking waterfalls.

Lake Hope State Park-Just outside Zaleski, Ohio and only a short 10-15 minute drive from Oakwood Cabins. Visitors to the park can still see a part of the Hope Iron Furnace and stroll past the famous "haunted" Moonville Tunnel.
